Rib Crib Barbecue Franchise Opportunities – History
Rib Crib Barbecue was founded in 1992 by Bret Chandler, who opened the first Rib Crib in Tulsa, Oklahoma, using a hickory wood-burning smoker in an old house. Today there are more than 50 locations in the chain, each one featuring a hickory wood-burning rotisserie smoker. The company operates locations in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa and Florida.
Do I Need a Restaurant Experience?
Restaurant experience is preferred, but not required. We’re looking for franchisees that have a track record of building successful, high-performing teams.
Will I Receive Training?
The RibCrib Management Training Program smokes any other program like it. With our 10-12 week program (may be less for experienced operators), we’ve trained over 450 managers; we graduate more than 30 new managers from our program each year.
Am I Required to Purchase a Multi-Unit Area?
You are not. We are always looking for experienced multi-unit developers to help us grow the RibCrib brand, however, development is dependent on territory and market availability.
How Much Assistance Will I Get?
We will help you during site selection, construction, and training. We’ve built several RibCribs since we first opened for business in 1992 and we’ve gotten the process down to a sweet science. We also offer ongoing marketing and operations support. We’re with you every step of the way.
What Kind of Marketing Support Does RibCrib Provides?
RibCrib utilizes a fully integrated marketing campaign each year with television, digital, social, and promotional materials. This includes materials for LTOs and recurring promotions, such as RibFest.
Is There a Protected Territory?
Absolutely. We offer protected territories to our franchisees so there is a systematic and planned development approach for each franchise group. There’s room for everybody.
